Greater Amberjack Recreational Season to Open in Gulf 

Greater amberjack will open for recreational harvest in Gulf of Mexico state and federal waters Aug. 1st. The season closes annually June 1st.

Cobia & Spanish Mackerel Assessments

The SEDAR 28 assessment of the Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic Spanish mackerel and cobia fisheries will consist of a series of workshops and supplemental webinars. This notice is for a webinar associated with the Assessment portion of the SEDAR process.

ICCAT Nominations Wanted for Advisory Committee and Technical Advisors
NMFS is soliciting nominations to the Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section to the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) as established by the Atlantic Tunas Convention Act (ATCA). NMFS is also soliciting nominations for technical advisors to the Advisory Committee’s species working groups.
Nominations must be received by October 1, 2012.
Currently NACOs Executive Director serves on the Advisory Committee and NACOs President serves as a Technical Advisor

Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT); Fall Meeting
In preparation for the 2012 International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT) meeting, the Advisory Committee to the U.S. Section to ICCAT is announcing the convening of its fall meeting.
The meeting will be held October 17-18, 2012.
